THE sales of the sport-utility vehicle (SUV) in the country, particularly in the midsize segment, has grown in the last few years, and will continue to do so in the coming years, based on the data presented by Goodyear Philippines.
This is, obviously, the main reason behind the introduction of their Wrangler TripleMax tires with the latest Hydrogrip technology.
The grand affair was held recently at the Green Sun building at Chino Roces Avenue Extension in Makati City. The launch of the new Wrangler TripleMax SUV tires also coincided with the “Road Therapy” campaign of more than a century-old company, who, by the way, boasts of some of the most innovative and category-defining tire products primarily designed to help customers enjoy an enhanced driving experienced.
This is the rationale behind the campaign, as the love of driving is an essential part of the brands DNA, as it believes that driving is not merely going to point A to B but rather an emotional transformation—to recharge the body, free the mind and, thereby, boost the overall spirit.
In a statement, Kenneth Sambajon, market director of Goodyear Philippines, shared: “Whether through planned vacation or spontaneous road trips, travel is now a weekend staple for the Filipinos. This is evident in the steady spike of local tourism as recognized by the Department of Tourism and shown in the news feeds in our social-media sites.”
He went further to describe a family road trip as a “magical thing.” Being with your family is a precious occasion. It’s an opportunity to create fond new memories and bond a little more with the people who matter the most.
It is for this reason that Goodyear designed its most innovative midsize SUV tire to date as it is one of the fastest growing segments in the Philippines. And with the SUV’s now becoming a primary mode of transportation for most families, safety and dependability are musts.
“A tire for the midsized SUV should excel in all areas that a normal should, such as grip, short braking distance and durability. However, it also needs to be exceptional in other areas, specifically wet-weather braking and road-hazard resistance; because these are the attributes for which many car buyers in the country purchase SUVs and, in turn, these are the very attributes that make a vehicle uniquely suited to the Philippine driving conditions,” Sambajon added.
The very same attributes that its newest offering in the tires for SUV segment—the Goodyear TripleMax excels in as it delivers the following benefits: Superior braking performance, shorter wet braking and road-hazard resistance features—offering a safer and more fun driving experience with the family.
The Wrangler TripleMax achieves all this through its design reinforced with the Goodyear’s trademark Hydrogrip technology that provides an exceptional wet grip through a new innovative new tread compound, maximizing control via larger surface area-contact patch, which simply means more rubber contact on the road surface.
The improved braking ability is achieved by the way of biting edges with large block elements. Combine of all this the result is a more comfortable ride for families making it a perfect tire for long and short trips.
In a nutshell, Sambajon said, “The Wrangler TripleMax is an ideal choice for today’s discerning driver looking for a safer and more reliable drive that delivers in all weather or road conditions. With its superior wet-braking performance, we are confident that the new Wrangler TripleMax will become a choice tire for a safer and more comfortable ride for the drivers and their families.”
Aside from the launch, Goodyear also took the opportunity to honor its hardworking dealers all over the country by handing out awards to those who have sold the most tires last year.
