THE start-up firm created by businessman Antonio Paredes announced mid-March it secured a $2.5-million (about P111.9-million) funding for its expansion across the Philippines and Southeast Asia, as well as continue development on its products designed for homebuyers and brokers.
The funding round was led by Singapore-based venture capital firm Monk’s Hill Ventures and participated by existing investors, Paredes said in a statement. He added that the company will use the funding to recruit more talent and experts in real estate, computer programming, content creation, product development and customer service.
The start-up will also continue its work on creating and innovating tools “to improve the homebuying experience.” “With the Philippines’s growing economy, the real estate represents a significant opportunity for us,” Paredes said.
