WILCON Depot is tapping anew Infor’s enterprise technology to further drive the company’s growth and enhance its customer service.
As per the partnership agreement they sealed at the former’s head office in Quezon City on Wednesday, both parties will partner for the project’s implementation to achieve excellence in financial, sales, supply chain and warehouse management.
Wilcon President and CEO William T. Belo told the BusinessMirror at the sidelines that they are investing $5 million, or more than P200 million for an upgrade of existing Infor business software solutions they currently use, as well as the integration of new ones into their system.
“This collaboration is very meaningful to us as this marks another milestone while we continue to drive toward excellence in the industry,” he said. “With our goal of bringing Wilcon closely to every home builder, we continually open new stores and expand our operations across the country. In this initiative, we are aware that investing on efficient information technology solutions is a must to further enhance customer service and improve our system,” the top executive added
Infor Vice President for Sales in Asean Helen Masters said they are committed to assisting their customers in their transformational journeys by cross-pollinating new ideas, which enable faster and more responsive and customer-centric decision-making.
“I’m confident that with this partnership, Infor will enable Wilcon to make strategic goals, record store growth, and meet continuous customer satisfaction,” she said.
Among Infor’s business software solutions, the deal includes Infor Customer Life Cycle Management; Ming.le, which is a comprehensive platform for social collaboration, business process improvement, and contextual analytics; and Infor M3, a comprehensive enterprise resource planning solution designed for companies that make, more or maintain products.
To be done in two phases, Wilcon Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Rosemarie Ong expects the project to be completed in 22 months.
For the initial stage, she said that it will involve an upgrade of their existing system to make it “more robust and capable of the expansion plans” of the company.
“That will be around 10 months. And then the reminder will be for the other new applications that were going to use for our system,” she noted.
The retail construction chain has been operating for more than three decades, with over 30 outlets nationwide.
In line with its goal of hitting more than 40 branches in the next two years, the company is opening three more stores before the end of 2015.
These will be in Villasis, Pangasinan, which is set to kick off in July; as well as in Sta. Rosa, Laguna and Bacoor, Cavite by end of this year.
“It’s really a big investment for Wilcon, and we expect that we are able to optimize it. For whatever peso value that we gave into this investment, hopefully, we are able to benefit from this based on the goals of the company,” Ong said.
