“This is an opportunity for the Philippine realty industry to launch new products and become globally competitive. This can also be an effective platform for convergence of the realty and tourism sectors to build their business-to-business network,” said Dr. Mary Gaw So, President of REHub Real Estate Inc.
REHub Real Estate Inc. is the organizer of the REHub Expo 2014, which is the first for the company, themed “Asean Integration in Real Estate and Tourism to ‘Go Glocal.’”
The company, itself, is a real-estate hub, which offers a wide array of services for the industry such as general brokerage, consultancy, taxation and real-estate auction, to name a few.
The expo is in line with the REHub’s strategy to promote the Philippines as a hub for property investment and the prime tourist destination.
Other developing countries are facing economic and financial challenges, said the company, and investors are looking at emerging economies in Asia as an alternative market.
The expo is expected to draw from both sectors of tourism and real estate and expects attendees from foreign chambers of commerce and industry, trade associations and government entities, financial institutions, business-process-outsourcing companies, travel and tour operators, and transportation and airline services.
Admission is free for the REHub Expo 2014, which is from September 5 to 7 at the World Trade Centre. The BusinessMirror is the event’s media partner.
The trade show-cum-seminar will feature a Special Property Sales show that will showcase all major types of development for interested buyers, a travel fair for latest destinations for the tourism side, a job fair, a one-day investments seminar, a legal forum and a property auction, to name a few of the events.
Foreign and local exhibitors are expected to attend from various industries, such as real estate, retail and sales, finance and accounting and information technology.
