YOU may have heard the concept or the phrase that “thoughts are things.” This concept is basically a formula that you can use in any field of application. Of course, it’s easier said than done, but definitely possible. This is also in line with the concept of what you think, so will it become.
For these concepts to work, it requires some deep thinking embarked with emotions. The deeper the emotions, the higher the possibility it will materialize. These thoughts and emotions, whether positive or negative, produce a certain level of energy and vibrations that move in space. With enough belief, thought and emotions, it will materialize sooner than later. It is a key to visualize the end in mind.
In playing the game of golf, visualize the end in mind with an intense desire to play well or at least enjoy the game. When and if you desire to achieve lower scores, you may need to set a time frame, certain days to practice the various types of shots, and days to think, plan for and visualize the end in mind.
For example, when you set a goal to score “90” or an even bogey game in a standard golf course, you need to bogey each hole. Or, at the least, maintain an average of an even-bogey game. It can be a combination of pars, bogeys and double bogeys. When difficult to achieve, give time for proper practice. I must say plenty of time. The more you strive, the better chances you’ll score better.
When you start to score triple bogeys and quadruple bogeys, then it becomes impossible to achieve the score of 90. The key is to avoid scoring triples and quadruples. Mind you, it’s a big job avoiding these scores. You need to know what to work on, lots of planning, practice and an intense desire to achieve your goal.
In the case of creating straighter shots, you are required to know how to address the ball perfectly, know the mechanics of the body and the swinging motion of the club. But, most important, you need to have a strong desire to actually make a straighter shot, create the shot visually, must truly believe it and claim that it actually happens.
Therefore, achieving a goal does not solely depend on just wanting it. You must intensely desire it as often as possible during the day, especially right before you sleep at night. The pictures that you desire to achieve must be crystal clear in your head. Think and believe that you already own it. Own a great drive, fairway wood shot, an iron shot, bunker shot or a putt. With perseverance and a strong desire to play great, lowering your scores will eventually happen.
Having a purpose, having faith and the gratitude that you have achieved what you truly desire, whether it has materialized or not, is a great thought. It is in believing what you know, and believing yourself that allows the processes to lead into the things you want, do or have, in any field of application. So, enjoy the game of golf, and enjoy life.
