MICHELIN Philippines recently launched its Facebook campaign to establish a connection with the consumers that will stimulate conversation about passions behind the wheel.
Dubbed as the “Michelin Driving Passion,” the promotion aims to gather motoring enthusiasts globally and share their own passions, emotions, sensations and memories of their driving experience. The Facebook comments with the most inspiring stories and photos will be rewarded with a day of ultimate driving experience at the 2016 Michelin Pilot Experience Event (MPSE) in Sepang, Malaysia.
“The [MPSE] has been going on since 2006 and being held at the F1 circuit in Sepang, Malaysia. This is to give our consumers and dealers a chance to experience being in the cockpit of a real race car and drive around the well-known circuit at no cost,” said Michelin Philippines chief representative Michael Nunag. “This year is different, because we’re tapping the social media to promote the event. Also, we have ambassadors to share and explain their experience,” he added.
The MPSE is a one-day insight into the world of racing and driving exhilaration that Michelin has offered several years to a limited number of VIP guests from Asia and Oceana. Organized at the iconic Sepang F1 circuit in Malaysia, it gives participants the opportunity to drive some of the world’s most exhilarating performance cars. This year two each from the consumer and the media will be chosen as lucky winners of the Facebook campaign and fly to Sepang, Malaysia, for free to experience the thrill of the 2016 MPSE. Driving remarkable cars, such as the Formula 4, Le Mans, Rally and Touring equipped with Michelin tires, await this year’s event winners.
“The main concept behind this event is to let the consumers and dealers experience driving real race cars utilizing Michelin tires. This time you don’t just imagine through our product brochures, but instead, we let you experience the actual feel of our product behind the wheel. Four different race cars will be tested to showcase four different sets of Michelin tires designed for different racing applications,” Nunag explained.
Moreover, four separate videos of the ambassadors from different racing backgrounds are currently being showcased to share their respective encounters. These are 24 hours Le Mans 2015 champion Earl Bamber, Singapore’s only female professional race driver Claire Jedrek, Thai motorsport enthusiast Nathasedh “Dr. Top” Poonsapmanee and seven-time Guinness World speed record holder Mike Newman. Interestingly, Newman happened to be a visually impaired race-car driver.
To join the Michelin Driving Passion Facebook campaign, simply watch all four videos featuring the brand ambassadors’ excitement and driving passion. Like each video and share a separate comment on facebook.com/MichelinDrivingPassion about your own passion, emotions, sensations and memories of your driving experiences.
