MEMBERS of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) in the Philippines started the celebration of Christmas with the “Christmas Temple Lighting” on Thursday evening. Held at its temple in White Plains, Quezon City, the annual lighting was hosted by the Philippines Area Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was attended by guests from interfaith, LDS Charities project partners, members of the media and community leaders.
THE Carmelites in the Philippines on Thursday joined the worldwide celebration of the feast of Saint Teresa of Ávila with the culmination of her fifth birth centenary. They also marked the canonical declaration of the Teresian Carmelites in the country as a province with the title Saint Teresa of Jesus.
