A three-day environment summit showcasing breakthroughs and innovations on safe food, healthy environmental and sustainable development kicked off at the SMX Convention Center in the Mall of Asia in Pasay City on Tuesday.
Organized by the group Green Convergence for Safe Food, Healthy Environment and Sustainable Economy, in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), the summit aims to pave the way and step-up activities toward a sustainable development path.
The Green Convergence is a coalition of networks, organizations and individuals working toward sustainable development.
“We want to inspire everyone to join the drive toward sustainable development by showing how it can be done and how many people are doing it already,” said Angelina P. Galang, president of Green Convergence, in an interview. Around 1,000 people are expected to take part in the three-day event.
