STI Education Systems Holdings Inc. (STI ESH) has inaugurated its recently completed STI Academic Center in Batangas, valued at over P250 million.
Sitting on a 5,621-square-meter property on Kumintang Ibaba, it has three floors and houses top-end facilities, such as fully air-conditioned classrooms equipped with LCD projectors and LED lightning systems; a library; Internet and Wi-Fi connection; and industry-grade simulation laboratories. STI Batangas Academic Center is now ready to accommodate up to 1,500 college students for the upcoming school year 2015-2016. It is also one of the pioneer senior-high schools in the country to absorb Grades 11 and 12 students.
As the listed academic institution expands its reach and enhances its campuses across the country, it builds a strong foundation of education for young Filipinos, according to STI ESH CEO Monico V. Jacob.
“From the facilities to the curriculum, and to the services that we provide, we are committed in finding ways to bridge the gap between graduates and the requirements of industries in various fields,” he said. The STI Academic Center in Batangas is the first of the four education hubs set to be launched in the first quarter of 2015, including those in Calamba, Cubao and Lucena. Other academic centers that have already opened and operated are in Alabang, Bonifacio Global City, Caloocan, Fairview, Malolos, Naga, Novaliches and Ortigas-Cainta.
The Eusebio Tanco-led educational institution, to date, has 80 STI branded schools in the country, of which 66 are colleges and 14 are educational centers; as well as non-STI branded schools called DLS STI College and iACADEMY.
STI also has investments in the Philippine Women’s University and the West Negros University. STI ESH operates the latter and iACADEMY.
