RCD Land, an affiliate of the RCD group of companies, has been recently granted incentives by the Board of Investment (BOI) for its mass housing project.
In a recent interview with the BusinessMirror, RCD Land Inc. president Rolando Delantar said that the incentives would enable the company to give more focus in its mass housing roadmap. “RCD Land would be more motivated in developing economic housing,” said Delantar.
RCD Land’s economic housing projects are located in Barangay Minuyan in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan; Barangay Alingaro, General Trias in Cavite; and in Silang, Metro Tagaytay.
The Winterbreeze Homes located in Bulacan and Cavite are RCD’s products for the economic or affordable housing category.
Furthermore, RCD Land is also developing the mid-rise RCD Mansion in Guadalupe, Makati City, for office and commercial spaces.
RCD Land also plans to develop economic and affordable projects in Tuy, Batangas; and Tanay, Rizal.
“We’re also preparing to have an initial public offering in two years,” he pointed out.
With income-tax holidays, Delantar said that his company would be more flexible in their operations. “We could save as much as 30 percent in our operations with the income-tax holiday,” said Delantar.
With the approval of its application, RCD Land would enjoy incentives such as income-tax holidays for their projects. To address the housing backlog, the government is providing incentives to encourage investors to invest in some economic undertakings.
Under the 2013 Investment Priorities Plan (IPP) currently being implemented, mass housing has been identified as a priority.
Other preferred activities included in the 2013 IPP are agriculture and fisheries, knowledge-based services, shipbuilding, iron and steel, energy, infrastructure, research and development, green projects, motor vehicles, strategic projects, medical services and disaster prevention, mitigation and recovery projects.
However, the government has not released the IPP for 2014.
