A MAGNITUDE-6.1 earthquake jolted the province of Davao Occidental on Wednesday morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
In its bulletin, Phivolcs said the tremor occurred at 9:18 a.m. and the epicenter was traced 155 kilometers southwest of Sarangani.
The tremor, which was tectonic in origin, had a shallow depth of 312 km.
Phivolcs said there was no casualty or damage reported from the temblor but aftershocks are expected.
