ASIA’S premier four-in-one franchising event will once again take center stage this June at the SMX Convention Center in Manila. Businessmen of consequence will converge to explore and discuss the various potentials and opportunities offered by an increasingly integrated global economy.
Franchise Asia Philippines 2015 is organized by the Philippine Franchise Association (PFA), the country’s pioneer and largest franchise association, in cooperation with BPI Family Ka-Negosyo Franchising Loan, PLDT SME Nation, Sun, Smart and ePLDT.
The event will be topbilled by four vital fora: the Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) Program on June 8 and 9; the International Franchise Conference on June 10 and 11; the three-day International Franchise Expo from June 12 to 14; and the Educational Seminars simultaneous with the Expo from June 12 to 14.
PFA President Franklin L. Go now calls on franchise enthusiasts to participate in the weeklong event to explore the latest opportunities and learn more about the best practices in franchising.
“As our economy continues to grow from strength to strength, we welcome the opportunities opening for Philippine franchising, but we also recognize the challenges posed by the continuous entry of foreign brands lured in by the country’s growing prosperity.
It is, therefore, important that the Philippine franchising sector level up and become globally competitive, so that it can continue to expand its market share not only in the Philippines, but even beyond our border,” Go stressed.
Go, who also sits as vice president of Goldilocks Bakeshop Inc., noted that this year’s conference will assemble more than 30 speakers from the best in the industry.
Among the topics to be discussed in the super sessions are Opportunities and Challenges in an Integrated Global Economy; The CFO Forum: Managing Growth; The CMO Forum: Marketing Strategies for Different Generations; The CEO Forum: Failure is Not an Option Amid Globalization; Retail 2025—Reconfigure for Success; Emergence of a New Franchise Leader in a Chaotic World; and the Future of Digital Marketing and its Impact to Business, among others.
Concurrent breakout sessions will also be conducted by industry experts in the following topics: Traits of a Successful Leader; Inspiration and Insights from Successful Franchisees; How to Stay Relevant Amid Changing Consumer Behavior; People Recruitment and Retention; Think Big: Creative Social-Media Campaigns; Overcoming Tax Issues in Franchising, Latest Trends and Innovation in Store Design Efficiency and Creating Loyal Customers. “As we remain steadfast in our commitment to raising the global competitiveness of the Philippine franchising and business sectors, we at PFA strive to provide a highly compelling conference program and bring in inspiring successful leaders, seasoned resource experts, knowledgeable facilitators, who will share their expertise, unique experiences and valuable insights that brought their companies to success and growth,” Go emphasized. The expo, meanwhile, is expected to attract more than 40,000 visitors and would-be franchisees, who can explore unlimited business opportunities from homegrown and international exhibitors coming from the food, retail and service sectors.
“With more than 20 years of bringing Asia to the world and the world to Asia, Franchise Asia Philippines 2015 provides the platform to help your franchise grow not only in the booming Philippine market but also across the entire Asia-Pacific region,” Go explained.
The International Franchise Expo from June 12 to 14, Asia’s biggest one-stop shop of franchise and other business opportunities, will showcase the unlimited business opportunities ranging from established and successful brands—both local and international—to new and promising franchise concepts covering every sector at various investment levels.
The Expo is a broad marketplace of business solutions to help businesses grow. It will also showcase business opportunities, including a Petro Pavilion showcasing brands in the oil and energy sector.
Along with the thousands of opportunities, the Expo will also provide an avenue for new learning through the franchise seminars, which provide a platform for learning business matching and networking for aspiring franchisors, prospecting franchisees and future international master franchisees.
Another exciting part of the annual show is the CFE Program on June 8 and 9 at the AIM Conference Center in Makati City and will be facilitated by Harish Babla, a noted franchise expert.
The program is a mini-MBA professional development course duly accredited by the US-based Institute of Certified Franchise Executives, designed to raise the level of expertise of franchise professionals. Its certificate is a global mark distinction in franchising.
