LEGACY carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) is looking at establishing Clark International Airport as its second-largest hub, as it looks to diversify its domestic and international route network outside Manila.
Alexander S. Cauguiran, the chief executive of Clark International Airport Corp., said the airline is poised to launch more flights out of Clark with the intention of “making the airport its biggest hub”.
“PAL already has a strong foothold of operations at Clark since December 2016, and by choosing Clark as another one of its bigger hubs, we are looking at PAL’s increase in commercial flights, especially domestic routes, in the next couple of years,”
he said.
The carrier, Cauguiran said, plans to launch a flight to California, USA, by year-end.
“Before the year ends, PAL wants to fly from Clark to North Americ—Los Angeles, in particular,” he said.
Cauguiran said the airline also “committed to build its own passenger-terminal building, and a maintenance, repair and overhaul facility inside the Clark Civil Aviation Complex.”
He said his management team will soon start negotiations with the company regarding its future plans for Clark airport.

Why is Andrew Tan mentioned as the owner and not Lucio Tan? Even a novice writer would on business would know the difference between the two tycoons. Hahahah
