CLARK Freeport—Elmer Ngo shot a gross 70 to emerge overall champion and Efren de Mesa fired a net 71 to bag the Class A crown in the Second Clark Golf Cup invitational tournament at the Clark Sun Valley Country Club golf course here last Friday.
Organized by the Capampangan in Media Inc. (Cami), Raul Ilagan also churned in the lowest net score of 69 he laced with an eagle and a birdie.
Rounding out the top 3 finishers in Class A were Boyet Arellano, also with a net 71, and Rey Lapid with a score of 72.
Luis Conde submitted a net 72 to top Class B, followed by Dennis Chan Ibarra, also with a 72, and Francis Dimaliwat with another 72.
Ret Rosales ruled Class C with a net 76, with Joel Laxamana (77) and Noli Maminta (77) finishing second and third, respectively.
Leana Carmona scored a net 70 to win the Ladies Division by two strokes over Tekkie Guese and six shots against Mary Ann Reyes.
The Fun Hole winners were Mike Dy for the Longest Drive of 295 yards, Lapid for the Nearest to the Pin with 2.3 yards, Dino Tanjuatco the Most Accurate Drive with only 5 inches and Lemel Oribiana the Most Exercised with a net 122.
CDC President and CEO Art Tugade, Philippine Olympic Committee President Jose “Peping” Cojuangco Jr. and Bureau of Immigration Commissioner Siegfred Mison hit the ceremonial balls.
The event was organized in cooperation with the Clark Development Corp. and Donggwang Clark Corp. Carlito Cernal of Catandem was the tournament coordinator.
