BACOLOD CITY—The Province of Negros Occidental is promoting its muscovado sugar and organic coffee at the Anuga 2015 in Cologne, Germany.
Set from October 10 to 14, Anuga is the world’s premier trade fair for food and beverages exports participated in by 180 countries all over the world.
Negros Occidental’s muscovado sugar and organic coffee are among the products being showcased by 35 handpicked-food exhibitors from the Philippines.
The Negros team is led by former Gov. Rafael Coscolluella, who is now provincial consultant on trade and investment promotion, and Provincial Planning and Development Officer Ma. Lina Sanogal.
Agriculture Undersecretary Emerson U. Palad and Region 6 Director Roy Abaya joined the Negros Occidental booth at the Philippine Pavilion.
Coscolluella, Sanogal and Provincial Information Office OIC Karen Dinsay attended the Executive Summit for Anuga 2015.
The event, held every two years, showcases products like exotic drinks, meat and meat products, frozen food, chilled and fresh food, dairy products, bread, bakery and soups, organic products etc. in the agriculture and forestry, food and beverage, bakery and confectionery industries.
Strategically located at the heart of Cologne, Germany, the exhibit area spans 30 hectares and hosts more than 700 food and beverages exhibitors.
Anuga is an economic engine that aims to boost the trading ties between the Philippines and European Union.
