LOPEZ Holdings Corp. said it will continue its “investment mode” as operating units, from power generation to entertainment, expand portfolio to address the needs of the growing economy.
Salvador Tirona, Lopez Holdings president, said the company will provide support to associated companies as it pursues sustainable strategic initiatives “aligned with our mission to improve the lives of our fellow Filipinos.”
Tirona said First Philippine Holdings Inc.’s associates, First Gen Corp. and Energy Development Corp., are strengthening their portfolio of clean, indigenous and renewable power-generating assets.
First Gen’s fast-track Avio power plant is expected to begin operations within 2015.
ABS-CBN Corp., the country’s largest television network, is pioneering digital terrestrial television through its branded ABS-CBN TV Plus.
“It is carving its own niche in the competitive mobile phone market through its catch-up viewing and exclusive original content on iWantTV, made available through ABS-CBN Mobile,” the company said.
Lopez Holdings announced a P0.10 per share cash dividend to be paid on June 27 to shareholders as of June 15.
