LENOVO Corp. moved to strengthen the position of its Motorola brand in the Philippine market as the technology firm rolled out the all new Moto Z2 Play.
In a statement, the company said the new device enhances the Moto Mods, which can easily attach to the device.
The trademarked Moto Z family of smartphones with Moto Mods “has allowed people to do things that were never before possible with a phone,” Lenovo explained.
“From projecting up to a 70-inch screen anywhere to adding 10x optical zoom, Moto Mods offer unprecedented mobile innovation,” the company said. “With the next generation of devices, you can experience even more new ways to transform your smartphone.”
The launch came after research firm GfK said it anticipates emerging Asia to post the strongest regional growth in smartphones for this year.
Smartphone demand in the region, which includes the Philippines, totaled 56.7 million units, up 13-percent year-on-year (YoY), GfK said.
GfK said it forecasts overall smartphone demand in the region will total 234 million units in 2017, an increase of 11-percent YoY.
