I FIRST wrote about young personality Kisses Devlavin a few months ago. Back then, she was still inside the Pinoy Big Brother house, duking it out with other housemates to be declared the big winner. But the young girl was also fighting for something else then. That time, she was struggling hard as she had unrequited feelings for another housemate, Marco, who just saw her as a friend.
Oh, how she lamented to the highest heavens how Marco didn’t see her as anything more than that. Kisses said this wasn’t her first time at the rodeo of unappreciated affection, and she began to question a number of things about herself.
Thank God she picked herself up and charged to become one of the finalists of Pinoy Big Brother, winning a number of fans and admirers along the way.
And that Marco? Well, by some divine intervention (by the ABS-CBN gods specifically), they are now paired in the upcoming Wansapanataym.
Who can blame Kisses for having a crush on Marco? He is a very charming young man who has one of the most flawless skins I’ve ever seen. He has a beautiful face and a tall svelte body. And that accent? Who can resist an Italian accent?
I’m happy for Kisses now because people say Marco has seen Kisses in a different light, and is now reciprocating her’ crushing on him. Oh puppy love! Sana ganyan din kadali magka-crush sa akin ang crush ko! Kisses, how to be you po?
Don’t get me wrong. Kisses is a looker actually. She has that chinita beauty a lot of boys go gaga over. She has an infectious smile. But the best thing about Kisses, and why she has so many admirers, is because of her humble and unassuming attitude.
Kisses and Marco actually look good together, Marco with his bad-boy looks and Kisses with her princess-fairy demeanor. You know they are destined for bigger things, and the two seem to be ready for it.
This was evident when I finally met the pair at the birthday of showbiz executive Eric John Salut. The two excitedly told me about their roles in Wansapantaym Presents: Amazing Ving, where they play the bully to Ving (played by Awra of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano).
I asked if they were anxious about backlash in the fandom over them playing bullies. The two said they’re confident their supporters know they’re the farthest from being bullies, and that this is all about acting and work. And should their fans get mad at them for their performances, it would mean they’re doing a good job in portraying their roles.
I wish nothing but the best for KissMarc (Kisses and Marco) because they truly deserve it.
Meanwhile, Amazing Ving is an addition to the growing list of values-laden stories of Wansapanataym. For almost two decades, the program has inspired different generations of viewers and shared lessons that resonated with Filipinos.
Don’t miss the story about love and courage in Wansapanataym Presents: Amazing Ving, which airs on July 23 on ABS-CBN and ABS-CBN HD (SKYcable channel 167). For past episodes, log on to iWant TV or www.skyondemand.com.ph for subscribers.

I have watched the first two episodes of Amazing Ving. The story tackles about the issues at school – bullying, insecurities, cliques. Awra is the lead role so primarily the attention is to him. His acting skills has improved compared to the 1st time he had to appear as actor on FPJAP. I am giving KissMarc’s acting a benefit of the doubt. Two episodes might be too early to judge what this new OTP could become. I am looking forward for the next episodes.
