A lot of people evidently believe that President Noynoy Aquino is to blame for the poor response to supertyphoon Yolanda.

The criticism of the government response to Yolanda consisted primarily of condemnations of mismanagement and lack of preparation in the relief effort in its aftermath.

Reader complains about poor treatment in public hospital

Last May 2, my sister-in-law gave birth to my niece at Mandaluyong Hospital. It’s a public hospital. Even though I wasn’t really in favor of bringing her to the hospital because of its reputation, we didn’t have any choice since it was an emergency.

Reader complains about pathetic PLDT service

I recently got an offer from PLDT to upgrade to their Plan 1,299. The offer came with an upgrade of our Internet service to 1mpbs speed from 512 kbps, a free Wi-Fi modem and free PLDT-to-PLDT NDD calls on our landline, which was packaged along with the DSL service.

Gays rally around tour guide iconoclast, ask for repeal of religious law

MANILA - GAY rights activist group ProGay Philippines protested the sentencing made by a city court that convicted controversial tour guide Carlos Celdran for the crime of offending religious feelings, saying that the 1930 law is archaic and defeats equal protection of free speech rights.

(PEFI) to save the very rare bird found only in the Philippines.
