Returning Pinoy free of MERS

THE Department of Health (DOH) said on Friday the Filipino worker who was placed under quarantine upon his return to the country for previously testing positive for the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome-Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) in the United Arab Emirates is now negative for the virus.

NDRRMC: 12 killed, 96 injured in Holy Week accidents

AT least 12 persons were killed and 96 were injured in accidents that have occurred so far this Holy Week, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said on Friday.

955 farmers want share in Tadeco land

A TOTAL of 955 individuals are seeking recognition as potential beneficiaries of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program Extension with Reform (CARPer) for the 358 hectares of land of the Tarlac Development Corp. (Tadeco), an official of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) said on Wednesday. Agrarian Reform Undersecretary for Legal Affairs Anthony Parungao said the DAR will continue to accept applications for Tadeco’s CARP-covered lands even as he said that the DAR Tarlac Office is now moving to start the screening and validation process to identify the qualified farmer-beneficiaries.
