Malacañang won’t meddle with impeach-Aquino case

MALACAÑANG assured on Monday that it will not influence fiercely loyal administration allies in the House of Representatives to decide whether to pursue impeachment proceedings or readily acquit President Aquino for alleged culpable violation of the law in allowing Budget Secretary Florencio B. Abad’s disbursement scheme that the Supreme Court (SC) unanimously ruled as unconstitutional.

Belgica files partial motion for reconsideration on D.A.P. ruling

FORMER Manila Councilor and defeated senatorial bet Greco Belgica filed on Monday a partial motion for reconsideration (MR) before the Supreme Court (SC), seeking for a definitive ruling on the power of the President to augment funds to cover a deficit in the program for which public funds had been earmarked under the annual appropriations law.

Drilon to DBM: release D.A.P. documents

Senate President Franklin M. Drilon on Monday urged the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) to release all documents, including Special Allotment Release Orders related to the Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) funds availed of by lawmakers.
