Customs’s antismuggling drive shifts to private ports

Customs Commissioner John Sevilla has conceded that the Bureau of Customs (BOC) will no longer be able to meet its 2014 revenue target of P408.1 billion that was imposed by the Department of Finance (DOF).

Manufacturing output up 13.8 percent in May

The country’s manufacturing output continued its double-digit climb in May, according to the preliminary results of the Monthly Integrated Survey of Selected Industries (MISSI) report released by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) on Thursday.

DOTC bids out 2 airports, sea gateway projects

THE Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) has earmarked P248.3 million to develop two airports and a sea gateway in different parts of the country to facilitate easier transport and trade of goods and services.
