LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu—The Camella Homes and Communities (CHC) has donated P20 million to the Lapu-Lapu City Government as assistance to the city’s ongoing comprehensive drainage plan.
CHC is the developer of Camella Homes in Lapu-Lapu City.
The team-up between CHC and the city will result in the creation of a 4.5-kilometer drainage system that will pass through the Pajac-Maribago Road, from the General Aviation Road leading to the Mactan Circumferential Road, said Myra Gilig of CHC.
Gilig said the drainage system will benefit residents in barangays Pajac, Maribago, Mactan, Basak, Cagodoy, Bankal and Buaya.
She said once the drainage system is in place, it will prevent flooding in the area and will effectively manage the island’s water outflow.
The city will no longer need the services of a septic tank company to vacuum the waste from tanks, she added.
