THE DusitThani Hotel in Makati recently served as a venue for this year’s November Hi-Fi Show, which boasted of the largest gathering of high-fidelity enthusiasts, dealers and Hi-Fi restorers using old-world technologies. The two-day event also showcased the finest consumer and professional electronics as a total lifestyle package.

Eleksis Corp., the exclusive distributor of Monster Cable and Bose in the country, was one of the main exhibitors who created a buzz due to its latest audio and video products.

In partnership with Chef Tony’s, Bose introduced new audio-video products such as the Limited Edition Sound Dock painted in dazzling red. “The Sound Dock has always been the top seller of Bose. As a tribute to its global success, Bose came out with this limited-edition version in red color. The features are the same, except for the casing,” explained Wilson So, president of Eleksis. The Limited Edition Sound Dock retails for P19,900.

Other products on display at the Bose room were the Bose Bluetooth Series 2 headset, which is engineered to react automatically to noise levels, allowing the user to hear more clearly. Bose’s patented noise-cancelling rejecting microphone system helps the user to communicate more clearly despite the wind and noise. It is compact, light and well balanced and can be worn either at the left or right ear. The Bose Bluetooth Series 2 headset is so technologically advanced that even President Barack Obama reportedly uses one as approved by the US Secret Service.

Another new product which generated a lot of attention was the Bose Companion 20 Multi-Media Speaker System. This plug-and-play two-piece speaker system reproduces full and natural sound whether you are inches or way across the room. Propriety technology and an advanced port design make your music, game and videos come alive with striking clarity and impressive low notes at any volume.

Visitors to the Bose room were treated to some free Chef Tony’s popcorn as they sampled a video presentation from a Bose LED TV in a special soundproof room. “We are also launching the Bose Video wave system in this show,” added So.

Each year more than 1,000 enthusiasts from all around the country come to the show to see the latest products from some of the best high-end foreign brands to our very own stable of Filipino inventors. From solid-state to vacuum-tube amplifiers, CD players and modern high-end turntables, mammoth plasma and LCD TVs to ultrahigh-definition projectors, audiophile CDs to vinyl records, vintage audio gear to the most ultramodern audio and video electronics, the November Hi-Fi Show is a show stopper for the latest in consumer electronics. This year, close to 700 people visited the Bose display room, as 300 audio-video companies displayed their latest innovative products.
