Fireworks are designed to dazzle the spectators, providing a spectacle of intricate techniques and festive colors. But the World Pyro Olympics (WPO) is more than just a show. It is an arena for the world to meet, to fuse different countries’ rich cultures into a night of “feast for the senses.”  

And this year’s 4th World Pyro Olympics promises to be even bigger and bolder. For one, the competition will introduce the pyro-musical format, a combination of state-of-the-art fireworks displays and computer technology with fireworks choreographed to music.

In January 1992, Asean members signed the Singapore Declaration, which became the heart and soul of the Asean Free-Trade Area (Afta), a comprehensive program of tariff reduction in the region.

Over the years, the initial program of tariff reductions widened and other “Afta Plus” activities were initiated. This included efforts to eliminate nontariff barriers, harmonization of customs nomenclature, valuation, procedures and development of common product certification standards.
