THIS famous aesthetician and skin care expert is right now having some second thoughts with regard to her forthcoming marriage with this devastatingly hunky young man who happens to be in the same line of profession. A couple of months back, they used to have some grandiose plans of getting married in the States where they could supposedly have all the privacy in the world without the usual prying eyes of the public to discomfit them and ruin their equanimity and self-possession.
But for some highly baffling reasons, nothing much is heard of it lately and the filthy rich woman is said to be having some second thoughts in pursuing it.
For the first time, she has allegedly come to realize how doltish she has become in falling for this guy who's a veritable opportunist and a two-timing gigolo.
At her age, she purportedly doesn’t have the stamina anymore to cope up with his manic energy, along with his innate penchant for travel and buying expensive mementos on the side.
Rich as she may be but the guy is spending money as if it’s already running out of style, she’s scared that if she is going to give in to his every whim and caprice, chances are the business she’s worked so hard to establish for many a good year now is heading for bankruptcy in no time at all.
So right now, the marriage is definitely off and the lady who’s been able to earn millions out of making women confidently beautiful would rather focus on her business than marry a guy who’s better off being her son.
He might be terrific in bed and that is one thing he’s perpetually proud of, but apart from that, everything about him is practically spurious or fake.
Prior to their engagement, he had a good nosejob, along with some intimate ministrations to his most intimate body parts where he used to be most insecure about.
End of the story.
Danita Paner is torn between two loyalties
HER mom, the feisty Daisy Romualdez is presently having a sensational gap or imbroglio with her equally belligerent manager Annabelle Rama. But far from getting involved, sweet Danita Paner is keeping her distance and trying to bridge the gap that exists between them.
“Sanay na ako sa kanila,” she coos in a recent encounter at the posh Manila Pavillion hotel's buffet room. "Ever since, away-bati naman ang dalawang 'yan.
“What I do is ako na lang ang gumigitna,’’ she avers. “Pasasaan ba’t magbabati rin ang mga ‘yan.
“Si Tita Annabelle [Rama] ini-insist ang point of view niya as my manager,” she points out methodically. “Mom ko naman, ganon din.”
Lately, the two feisty ladies had a disagreement once again over Danita’s newest endorsement Shimmian Derma Clinic.
“What I did was kinausap ko na lang si Tita Annabelle,” she pleasantly intones. “Sayang ang exposure, di ba? It’s better na huwag na munang maningil.
“After all, magpu-provide naman sila ng mga billboards which is a big thing for me dahil makatutulong talaga ‘yun para makilala ako at mapag-usapan.”
Shifting to other interesting arenas, is she still in good terms with JC de Vera?
“Let’s just talk about my new soap [Isang Dakot] at TV5,” she says sounding flippant and cool.
"Di ko alam if this one’s a remake but I’m starring in it anyway with Ms. Alice Dixson and Jay Manalo. Karylle Marquez is going to play as the villainess,” she informs us, “while Edgar [Allan Guzman] is my leading man.
“I’m happy na six months ang itatakbo ng soap naming ito,” she smugly says. “At least I’m secure for the next six months financially.
“I’m really working hard dahil dream ko na mabilhan ng house and lot ang mom ko.”
Incidentally, Eric Quizon is at the helm and she says that she’s most ecstatic about it since she finds working with Eric a veritable pleasure.
Going back to JC de Vera, are they still on speaking terms?
“Kung ano’ng sinabi ni JC,” she says feigning indifference, “di ‘yun na! Di naman kami sina Gerald Anderson at Kim Chiu na interesado talaga ang mga tao.
‘‘Nagti-text pa rin naman siya..nangungumusta once in a while.
“At this point,” she says turning serious, “ayoko na munang magsalita. Mamaya, kainin ko pa ang mga sinabi ko.”
Any comment on the scalding issue that JC’s allegedly being maintained by an opulent gay lover?
‘‘Isa nga ‘yan sa pinag-awayan namin before,” she admits candidly. “Minsan kasi tinanong ko siya kung saan nanggaling ’yung bago niyang car. Nagalit ba naman sa akin? Nakakaloka!
“Sabi ko tuloy, naghahanap naman ako ng tomboy. Lalong nagalit.
“Ewan!”
Shifting to other exciting arenas, she says she's looking forward to her first single under the Viva records label.
“It’s not an album I’m coming out with,” she says with a straight face. “Single lang muna dahil alam naman nating mahina ang sales ng records sa ngayon.
“It's titled Nagtatanong, and a composition of Richard Poon.
“Malungkot siya,” she avers. “It’s about break-up.”
Could it be that she likes the song for its sentimental lyrics that mutely describes her feelings right this very moment?
“May ganon?” she demands in a bantering manner.
“Honestly, ayoko namang mag-senti,” she asseverates.
Looking back, she says that her first love, singer Kian Cipriano, was understanding and kind. The exact opposite of JC who's got a volatile mood and temper.
“Pero ganon nga siguro ang love,” she musingly states. "Might as well sa work na lang ako mag-focus, di ba?"
Correct!
Obese and lonely
SHE used to be a promising bold actress and was being handled by a relatively new movie outfit who had some grandiose plans of building her up as Tinsel Town’s new Elizabeth Oropesa but something went wrong along the way and the promise of stardom was aborted and she’s now jobless and plump and no one would dare touch her with a ten-foot pole.
Lately, I get to see her within the vicinity of the area I'm living in motorcycling aimlessly with no one paying any scant attention.
Indeed, once you become a goner, the world seems to become indifferent and you’re left alone sad and desolate.
Anyway, she frequently goes to the house of this gay talent coordinator who’s connected with a big network hoping that he’d be able to resurrect her flagging showbiz career.
Well, the first thing that she should do is to lose weight and create a semblance of order in her chaotic existence.
Only then could she re-enter the movies again. After all, she's predominantly a good actress and admittedly a looker as well.
Drugs might have made her plump and unattractive and a has-been at an age when she could have been peeking as an actress, but the promise is, admittedly, still there and all she needs to do is do something about her slightly obese body and that's it.
Stardom could still be waiting.
Insecurity is making him unreasonable and miserable
THE head of this famed recording outfit is purportedly horrified with the biting messages that this slightly plump but pretty gifted singer has been posting at his twitter account lambasting her for allegedly favoring another male talent.
“My boss is most fair with all of their talents,” so says someone close to the record producer. “It’s not her fault if the other guy is doing well sales-wise since he’s masipag and really spending his own money to have his album promoted.
“Eh, ito namang kumag na ‘to, ang bigat-bigat kasi ng katawan kaya gusto’y palaging nakakulong sa kwarto niya at lafang nang lafang.
‘‘Tapos magrereklamo kapag natataob siya sa sales. Kasalanan ba ni madam kung tamad siya at masipag ‘yung isa, bukod sa mas gwapo at ma-appeal?
Well, the singer in question is purportedly moving out of his mother recording studio and will soon be transferring to another recording company.
“Kahit saan siya lumipat kung di magbabago ang deplorable working habits niya, wala rin,” our source intones.
Very, very true!
Lovi Poe wants to focus on her showbiz career
INASMUCH as she and Rep. Ronald Singson did have an intimate conversation in Cebu a week or two ago, Lovi Poe, the star of GMA’s hot telenovela Legacy, has emphatically stated that she'd like to move on and focus instead on her thriving showbiz career.
“So much have happened already,” she says in retrospect, “I strongly believe that nothing could distract me now from what I'm doing.
“Masarap isiping I am able to do my job well this time,” she intones.
But why did she purportedly stage a dramatic walkout when Cong. Singson paid her a visit at her weekly show Party Pilipinas?
“The motive to surprise me,” she quips, “along with the noble intention of making me happy, was good.
“But maybe, I'm just not apt to it, I was caught off-guard.
“Of course Ron’s intention was good,” she rationalizes.
But aren’t they back in each other’s arms?
“Wala,” she is most emphatic. “We're not back together.
“We’re just friends.” And right now, she adds with a straight face, “I just want to focus lang sa work. My career is the one that makes me happy.
“There’s a time for love and commitment but right now," she stresses, “it’s my tapings for Legacy that inspires me.
“I'm so happy really,” she adds beaming. “Ang gagaling ng mga co-workers ko, the lines that are being given to us are really nice and fitted to the characters we’re delineating.
“Minsan, masama ang ugali ko, then mabait naman ako sa succedding scenes.
“Kumbaga,” she avers, “it’s so human. Ganyan naman talaga tayo, di ba?
“Marami namang maiinis kung laging bitchy ka.
“Basta we all have our moments,” she quips.
