Congratulations to the 1st Bart's Cup

Don Bosco Golf Club presented  2011 Northern Leg ' 1st Bart's Cup' Golf Tour was well attended by almost 60 golfers from Metro Manila, Paranaque, Caliraya, Cavite, Batangas, Expats from as far as Australia and Alaska joined in too.

They all came in, either with their families and or with their golfing buddies.  Participants were treated 1st class at the Fontana Villa 3 bedroom suites, complete with daily buffet breakfasts served at the Grill room specially reserved for the group.

During the 1st day, all motored to Clark Friendship Hi-way in a convoy of about 15 cars mostly SUVs.

However, some got lost from the very tail end of the convoy to  Royal Garden Golf Club.

Quite dizzy from the hour ride, all were treated with picturesque ancient decors and statutes that surrounded the fairways. When they all turned in their scores, we were surprised, that, after all that turns and trails to the golf club, most of the participants submitted relatively good scores.

A fellowship dinner party at the Grill of the Fontana Clubhouse followed. We even had a birthday celebrant, Ms Angelica Irvine.

The next challenge was at the mountain view course Korean C.C. as competition gets tough on the 2nd day of the 54 hole tournament.

As most golfers were heard crying out of bounds left and ryt, and screams of missed putt birdies and save pars that could have made the scores better, while golfers Sevie Oliva. and Nanding San Luis slugged it out to rule division 1 for two days as they made the course look easy to them.  The 3rd day host, Mimosa Acacia lakeview course to cap off the 3-day tournament.  A well manicured fairways and lush but true greens gave us our money's worth, as veteran Lady golfer Arlette D. came in with the best gross of the event.

As the organizers,Wilbert and Riza has kept all participants in good hands, as well as Bart and Cathy Borja, other major sponsors, Fontana Leisure Parks and Casino had pampered us all with superb accommodations, the final awards rites were layed out to everyone's contentand delight.

Everybody went home with premium giveaways & raffle items that others could talk about for a month.

What a way to unwind, bond and compete with ur fellow golfers, its as if we hit 3 birds with one shot in this 3 days, 2 nights golfing vacation.
