LISTED Paxys Inc., a business process outsourcing services provider, is expanding its fleet management business with the acquisition of a new unit in Australia.
In a Philippine Stock Exchange filing, Paxys said it is buying 100 percent of Australian Vehicle Consultants Pty. Ltd. (AVC).
Paxys said the AVC acquisition, to be completed through unit Smartfleet Management Pty Ltd., constitutes 4 percent of its consolidated net assets. It did not disclose the acquisition price for AVC, which it said has been providing vehicle specialist advice and authorization maintenance since 1994.
“As a result of the acquisition, AVC and Smartfleet will merge its operations and offerings to provide a comprehensive fleet management solution,” Paxys said in its disclosure.
Paxys shares closed flat at P1.52 each on Tuesday.
