San Sebastian College’s (SSC) victory over erstwhile unbeaten University of Santo Tomas (UST) late Tuesday coupled with St. Benilde’s surprise win over Ateneo-OraCare have thrown the semis race wide open, making today’s games doubly interesting and important for the six contending teams.

San Beda College Alabang (SBCA) completed its comeback to clinch the midgets volleyball crown, while De La Salle Zobel (DLSZ) and Philippine Women’s University (PWU) bagged futsal titles in the 40th Women’s National Collegiate Athletic Association tournament over the weekend.

SBCA beat Miriam College, 25-18, 25-23, in Saturday’s Game Three at the St. Scholastica’s College Gym. The Red Lions dropped the opener, 25-16, 23-25, 22-25, but forced a winner-take-all duel with a 23-25, 25-12, 25-14 win in Game Two.
