(SBC) held its second economic forum for the year in Makati which tackled “Perspectives on the Philippine Economy: Challenges and Opportunities Amidst Turbulent Times.”Keynote speaker Dr. Jay H. Bryson, Ph.D, managing director and global economist at Wells Fargo Securities, presented an analysis on financial markets and macroeconomic developments in the major economies of the world. Dr. Bryson, a sought-after speaker who has articles published in academic and popular economic journals, is also a regular resource specialist on global economics for the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, USA Today, CNBC and Bloomberg TV.
Sharing their views together with Dr. Bryson were John Forbes, director of the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines as representative of the Joint Foreign Business Chambers in the Philippines, and Antonio Jose Periquet, economist and former country strategist of Deutsche Regis Partners, who shared valuable insights from the business sector.
