THE board of directors of the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) has extended the term of Aurelio R. Montinola as BPI president and CEO for another two years.
Montinola reaches the bank’s mandatory retirement age this August, but the board has requested him to stay for this extended period to enable the completion of the transformation initiatives that he has introduced over the last few years, as well as to ensure continuity of the bank’s commitments.
Montinola was appointed president of BPI in 2005.
