HONG Kong-based logistics technology provider Lalamove introduced on May 26 a new app design executives hope will increase user number.
Albert Go, Lalamove Philippines country director, said the company is quite aware that while technology is their prime enabler, it is just one facet of their business.
While we are aggressive in expanding operations in the outskirts of Metro Manila, our main focus is on improving logistics and services so that more and more people will try, choose and remain loyal to Lalamove.
Its Philippines Digital Marketing Manager Mark Singson said the new design features the logo of a humming bird, which they hope will signify the swiftness by which Lalamove operates. Singson added the aesthetic design was also overhauled to make it more appealing for the user during interface. Moreover, he pointed out the new version also looks cleaner, providing the customer with a less-cluttered experience when booking.
Singson said the new app also allows access to a customer’s contact book so one can link the number and details of that contact to the ongoing order.
But beyond design, he explained the new Lalamove App now allows for a quicker app experience from placing all the way to completing the order.
“With the new app, one can browse their delivery options—either through motorcycle, medium utility van or large utility van and pick which best suits their needs. The fees are also carefully listed per transaction based on the distance it will take to transport it from one place to another.
It also makes sure that the driver making the pick-up and drop off can be tracked real time on your screen so you can feel secure with every transaction.
Since technology is very pervasive these days, Singson said Lalamove harnesses these tools, such as the mobile phone, tablet or PC, to ensure easy transport and delivery of goods and services.
Dannah Majarocon, Lalamove Philippines operations director, said the company will introduce within the year six-wheeler trucks for delivery operations to enable them to serve clients with bigger requirements.
