Recently Pascual Laboratories Inc. (PascualLab) returned to Bistekville in Payatas as part of the company’s continuing Health for Humanity initiative.
The company organized another outreach, this time adding new elements to its medical mission like a fitness activity led by basketball superstar Chris Tiu.
“Actually, this is still part of our ongoing sustainable health campaign, focusing on our adopted community, Bistekville. Last summer, we had PascualLab brand ambassadress Rep. Lucy Torres-Gomez come over, where she conducted a story-telling session with the kids, teaching the importance of health. “This time, we invited Chris to lead a basketball clinic. We believe in promoting total health and wellness not only through medical missions but also in different aspects like education and values formation,” said Mia Pascual-Cenzon, PascualLab’s corporate communications director. A staunch supporter of living an active lifestyle, Chris took a break from his busy schedule to mentor the kids on the rudiments of the popular sport—from passing the ball and dribbling, to shooting and team play. Meanwhile, volunteer doctors from partner-institution Intellicare, gave free health checks as part of the company’s health program.
In the afternoon, Operation Blessing (another CSR partner of PascualLab) held a film showing of Super Book, a popular cartoon series based on stories from the Bible. After giving the children a dose of values formation, they also distributed shampoo and books.
The event was made possible through the generous support of like-hearted partners Milo and Toby’s Sports Foundation, and volunteers from nonprofit organizations and PascualLab volunteer employees.
