THE Philippine subsidiary of consumer electronics manufacturer Haier has a lot of growth potential that can be a major growth driver for its global operations.
In a recent media briefing, Haeir President and CEO Yoshiaki Ito said the company is bullish on the Philippine market that it is aiming to triple its growth rate in three years.
“My main goal for Haeir Philippines is to make it as the strategic country in Haier operations in Japan and Asean,” Ito said.
“With the Filipino worker’s high degree of skills and proficiency in the English language, I am confident our company’s growth strategies can fit quite well in the Philippines,” Ito said.
Ito also disclosed that parent company Haier Asia Co. Ltd. and the local subsidiary recently formed a partnership with ONE Championship (ONE), the largest Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) organization in Asia. “Haier and ONE Championship are actually similar in more ways than you think.” Aside from both companies’ promoting Asian heritage, Ito said Haier and ONE also share the same objective in pushing their brands to the forefront of the global stage.
“Through the MMA, Haeir and ONE are developing local heroes to enable our consumers create the necessary connection,” Ito said.
“With this as a target, both work at understanding their market and creating products and producing shows that cater to the needs of their consumers/audience,” Ito said.
