AT least 200 amateur golfers from Baguio City and nearby provinces are expected to suit up for the 2016 Panagbenga “Flower Tee” Golf Tournament on February 19 at the Baguio County Club (BCC).
The event, held in part of the city’s 20th celebration of the annual Flower Festival in the summer capital of the country, is organized to raise funds for cancer patients in Baguio General Hospital.
There will be classifications to be played in the men’s division in the 18-hole, par-61 tournament, backed by the city government of Baguio, BCC and the organizing body of Panagbenga.
Two classes will be vied in the ladies’ division, while the guest, and the senior’s and junior’s divisions will be played with no handicap.
According to the organizers, more than 70 patients from the hospital will benefit from the proceeds collected from the golf event.
Registration is at P1,000 for BCC members and P1,800 for sponsored guests.
Special awards, such as nearest to the pin, most accurate drive, longest drive and most exercised player will be given.
