FEDEX Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. and the world’s largest express transportation company, recently held a tree planting at the Buhay Punlaan nursery in Lumban, Laguna, as part of FedEx Cares Week.
In support of the Haribon Foundation’s Road to 2020 Movement, 29 volunteers from FedEx Philippines participated in a biodiversity and reforestation workshop, and participated in tree replanting and seedling restoration.
The Toad to 2020 Movement aims to restore 1 million hectares of Philippine rainforests by 2020 to prevent natural disasters and conserve biodiversity in the country.
Around 1,000 FedEx volunteers in 12 Asia-Pacific markets supported local organizations in 36 communities across the region for the annual FedEx Cares Week. This is part of a global FedEx community-outreach initiative involving employees around the world.
