THERE is no doubt living in a condominium is gaining popularity in highly urbanized areas such as Metro Manila. However, living in these multi-story housing units in the cities is associated with high cost.
Nevertheless, global property portal Lamudi said this should not prevent home seekers from choosing to live in Metro Manila because there are many affordable options in the current market that can meet the requirements of city living while remaining reasonably priced.
The portal said these condominiums are also quite accessible from major business centers, thus giving the residents the privilege of avoiding the horrific commuting experience. Lamudi recommends the following projects for condominium buyers. Heading the list is East Raya Gardens developed by DMCI Homes. Located along Mercedes Avenue in Pasig, the 2.9-hectare residential enclave is known for its no-frills, distinctive style has a Balinese-inspired design. It is composed of eight medium-rise buildings complemented with 500 square meters of lush Balinese gardens and water features for a relaxing environment. Prices for units range here range from P3 million to P5 million.
Verawood Residences, another project of DMCI Homes, has gotten of Lamudi. It is along Acacia Estates in Taguig City. The 150-hectare project—a two-tower, medium-rise condo estate—a price range from as low as P2.9 million for a two-bedroom inner unit to P5.1 million for a newly turned over three-bedroom unit.
Amaia Skies Cubao—developed Ayala Land Inc., subsidiary Amaia Land—is one of the transport-oriented condominiums in the metropolis. Located a just a few meters away from the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 and Cubao Station of Light Rail Transit Line 2, the three-tower development aims to target the young professionals. Units range from 18 sq m to 34 sq m, with prices from P1.4 million to P2.9 million.
On the eastern side of the metropolis, a buyer can consider Empire East’s Cambridge Village in the Pasig-Cainta area. Cambridge Village offers several amenities such as retail spaces, swimming pools and a clubhouse with an 81-seater mini-theater to make living convenient for the residents. A 30-sq-m unit can be acquired for P1.3 million.
For people wishing to locate in the Legazpi Village area and be nearer to Makati Central Business District, Alveo Land offers the Columns. With a starting price of P3.8 million for a 36-sq-m studio unit, the Columns Legazpi Village comes after the highly successful Columns Ayala Avenue. The two-tower condominium is highly regarded as a sound investment and provides residences excellent proximity to all major locations in the city, including Ayala Avenue.
Bonifacio Heights, located in Taguig and developed by DMCI Homes, is perfect for people who will work in McKinley Hill, McKinley West and Bonifacio Global City. The medium-rise condo estate has 17 midrise buildings, and offers one-, two- and three-bedroom units. A two-bedroom unit is priced at P5.4 million. In Parañaque City buyers can consider Amaia Steps Bicutan, developed by Amaia Land. Located along the West Service Road, Barangay Sun Valley, Parañaque City, the project is also quite accessible to the airport. It has price of P1.5 million to P2.9 million.
Last but not the least, there is the Tribeca Private Residences developed by Landco. Located in Muntinlupa, the resort-themed condo project provides easy access from the Skyway and the South Luzon Expressway. The project is comprised of three towers, offering modestly sized one- and two-bedroom units, which are ideal for starting families and young professionals. Prices range from P2.8 million to P3.6 million.
