Since the first Muni Market in 2014, it was always the goal to create an enriching experience and connect a community for mindful living. More than a marketplace for healthy, local or eco-friendly products, the Muni Market allows cause-driven creatives of all kinds to meet like-minded individuals, united by a collective goal to build a healthier, more inclusive, more sustainable world.
“We’ve always wanted to bring together entrepreneurs, designers, communicators, educators and advocates to learn from each other’s unique perspectives and work together to create a better future for the planet,” says Jen Horn, who leadsthe Muni team, along with Kar Abola and Wanna Cancio.
Now on its sixth run with the only Muni Market for 2017, they’ve rounded up an impressive line up of Muni Meetup speakers and moderators on the following topics: (April 8) Reimagining Local Fashion, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.; Communicating Your Cause, 1:30-3 p.m.; Beating Manila Traffic, 4-5:30 p.m.; (April 9) Feeding the Food Revolution, 1-2:30 p.m.; Responsible Travel, 3:30-5 p.m.; and Zero Waste Living, 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
Muni event attendee-turned-entrepreneur Kylie Misa of WVN shares, “I go to Muni Meetups and Markets to learn from people who inspire me to make an impact in the world. The community teaches you that small individual things we do can go a long way when multiplied—so it’s great to see the community growing.”
The Muni Meetups will be held on April 8 and 9 on the second floor of Estancia Mall North Wing, across the Capitol Commons Park, where merchants of the Muni Market 2017 will be showcasing their products from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
