GLOBE Telecom Inc., which is facing a lawsuit from Italy-based Tonino Lamborghini SRL for trademark infringement, said on Wednesday night its 4G broadband stick is not a counterfeit product.

The cellular firm, in a statement, assured the public that it had obtained valid authorization to use the name and logo of Tonino Lamborghini on its 4G broadband sticks after allegations of trademark infringement.

This statement followed a press release from Tonino Lamborghini, which circulated over the social media, claiming that the Globe Tattoo Tonino Lamborghini 4G broadband stick is a “counterfeited product.”

Responding to the issue, Globe said it was authorized by Primo Mobile, a Singapore-based company that has a master license agreement with Tonino Lamborghini.

Primo Mobile is the master franchisor of mobile device-related products for Tonino Lamborghini and is authorized to sublicense their brand in exclusive territories including the Philippines, Globe said.

The design of the Globe Tattoo Tonino Lamborghini 4G broadband sticks was also reviewed and approved by Primo Mobile, according to Globe.

“As a company that highly values good corporate governance, Globe assures its consumers and the general public of its commitment to the highest ethical standards of doing business,” Globe said.
