Cif Cream Surface Cleaner in partnership with the Spirit of Edsa foundation and the People Power Commission spearheaded the cleaning of the Edsa Shrine and the Edsa People Power Monument, the two great landmarks that symbolize one of the proudest moments in Philippine history.

Cif Cream has built its reputation throughout the world for tough cleaning with minimum effort and more importantly, without causing any damaging effects due to its use.

In preparation for the 25th anniversary of the Edsa People Power Celebration, Cif took the initiative in leading the cleaning brigade composed of a coalition of volunteers made up of the JC Manilenas, Boy Scouts of the Philippines,  Department of Public Works and Highways ,  the Armed Forced of the Philippines, Metro Manila Development Authority,  members of the clergy along with Unilever employees to help clean these magnificent national treasures with utmost care.

“Cif Cream Cleaner has launched similar monument cleaning campaigns around the world,  in countries as far away as Argentina and Turkey. The Edsa monument clean-up activity furthers the brand’s commitment in preserving the world’s national treasures by cleaning them with utmost care” said Greg Anonas, Unilever Household Care Brand Manager. “This activity opens the door for the brand to explore cleaning and preserving the other important national monuments in our country such as the Rizal monument, the Lapu-Lapu monument or Quezon Memorial Park with the help of other likeminded volunteers and concerned citizens. Through these efforts, Cif hopes to teach younger generations the value of civic duty, historical appreciation and the importance of cleanliness.

Also present to lend a hand in the clean-up activity were former Senator Butz Aquino  along with members of the Spirit of Edsa Foundation and People Power Commission headed by Mr. Christopher Carrion.
