THE BusinessMirror, the top daily business newspaper in the Philippines, launched a new section at The Millennials Party hosted by the Aliw Media Group on April 13.
As BusinessMirror continues to grow, it has proven over the years that it is a front-runner when it comes to providing the latest and most informative economic, financial, and political news.
Staying true to its commitment to provide its readers a broader look at today’s business, the weekly section, aptly dubbed as “The Millennials” will cater to the Generation Y—individuals who have reached adulthood at the turn of the 21st century and will take over the future that is almost in full view.
In expanding the publication’s growing number of readers, the new section will specifically target those in the 19 to 29 age range and young entrepreneurs.
The section, which will come out every Tuesday, will bring the voice of the millennials in the frontline, highlighting their culture, their beliefs, and their accomplishments, to show that the future looks bright as it will be entrusted in the hands of a vibrant generation.
It will present the point of view of the millennials through a weekly column in the Opinion-Editorial section of the BusinessMirror. Aside from providing content relevant to its target audience, it will also offer millennials a chance to showcase their talent through their contributions.
The new section will feature content from writers and editors from universities as well as entrepreneurs and workers who belong to Generation Y.
It will cover not just technology but also music, travel, culture, fashion, current events—just about anything that interests millennials.
The Millennials Party held in House Manila at the Remington Hotel was hosted by Home Radio station manager Migs Anzures and BusinessMirror Vice President for Corporate Affairs Frederick Alegre. BusinessMirror Publisher T. Anthony Cabangon together with the newspaper’s founder, Ambassador Antonio L. Cabangon Chua, Edgard Cabangon and Josephine Reyes welcomed the guests.
Also in attendance were the delegates and sponsors of the recently concluded congress of the Media Specialists Association of the Philippines (MSAP), titled “Confluence.” The party also served as a celebration and a treat to the partners of BusinessMirror.
Prizes were raffled off to attendees who were treated to a night of entertainment. To cap-off the celebration, delegates from various media agencies participated in a dance showdown and vied for an overnight stay in Resorts World Manila.
