‘ONE of my best, most memorable and unforgettable birthday celebrations.”
And so declared businessman D. Edgard Cabangon, after having a blast and plenty of laughter on his 51st birthday celebration at the City State Tower Hotel in Ermita, Manila, on April 9.
Celebrating his birthday with his twin brother Edward, Edgard, also the president of City State Tower Hotels and tabloid newspaper Pilipino Mirror, was with his family—wife Jennifer; kids Nina, Danica and AC; Jecelyn, Randy and Dinday, Anthony, Antoinette, Ingga and Michelle; his father, Ambassador Antonio L. The successful businessman also received tons of greetings from his friends on social media, sending their best wishes of good health to his family, and more blessings and good fortune on his future endeavors. The party was filled with jokes and laughter, while beautiful piano music and classic love songs were rendered by the City State Tower Hotels’ top-caliber singers. The birthday celebrator was also surprised by his daughter Nina, who also posted on Facebook a picture of his father holding a box of greeting cupcakes.
Edgard said he wished nothing but for his children to finish their studies and go on to have a good career, as well as good health to his loving father, Ambassador Cabangon Chua. Also on hand to celebrate with him were National Press Club Vice President Benny Antiporda, and radio and newspaper columnists Pete Ampoloquio and Peter Ledesma.
Present, as well, were lawyers Emy Sison and Monet Posadas, Judge Philip Aguinaldo, Fr. Jun Sescon, Fr. Jojo Buenafe, Fr. Freddie Billanes, Zaldy and Mylene Co, Gen. Artie Sindac, Sam Cu, Chuah Eng Hun, and Conrad and Lorlyn Almazora. Also sharing their time with the birthday celebrator were Lino Barte, Manny and Lady Grace Freires, Fr. “There’s nothing more I can ask from God. All the people I love the most are always by my side. I just wish that my siblings and my newly graduated daughters and son have better careers and much happiness in life. I’m also praying for my father’s good health,” Edgard said.
He also celebrated a small birthday gathering with his Isuzu Gencars and Pilipino Mirror family at their headquarters in Makati City.
Edgard, also the provider of the Isuzu popemobile when His Holiness Pope Francis visited the Philippines in January, was most thankful for everyone who supported him and helped him reach his goals and become successful in all of their projects.
