PILMICO Foods Corp., the food group of the Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc., has partnered with Max’s Corner Bakery, for a bread-making competition open to student and amateur home bakers.
Winners of the competition will be featured in Max’s Corner Bakery of Max’s Restaurant.
“It is our hope that through this competition, our young participants will be able to share the unique story of their bread creations. We want to know the inspiration, the struggles and the hard work put into making it,” said Ariel Fermin, Max’s Bakery COO.
Pilmico Vice President and COO Tristan Aboitiz said the competition is also an effort to promote local food, as well as to highlight how bread plays an important role in the scene of local food culture and heritage.
“Last year’s competition opened our eyes to the many colorful stories that go with each bread product, and this is a testament of how rich our local bread culture is,” he said.
