NEW rides, stars and the cuddly bear, Yamaha Motor Philippines (YMP) introduced its fresh face with the modish MIO motorcycles, together with its celebrity ambassadors: Nadine Lustre and James Reid, not to mention their newest icon, Revvy Bear.
At the grand launch that thrilled thousands at the Greenfield District Park in Mandaluyong City, the state-of-the-art rides unveiled were the Mio i 125, Mio Soul i 125, Mio 125 Mxi and Mio Sporty. These cutting-edge machines were built to take on any adventure that would take the story out of the rider and unto eager ears, eyes, paper and broadcast networks. These well-bred mini bikes were presented according to one’s character with each one finely tuned to deem fit to different kinds of personalities.
“Our latest products are more catered to the young since the MIO motorcycles sport one of the lightest body frames in our stables,” conveyed Ryan Jude Camus, YMP marketing manager.
“Plus, it’s hip and funky,” he added.
As ambassadors, the powerful pair “Jadine” sent out a message that could inspire the “Ride Your Own Story” with these motorcycles through the riding lifestyle on and off the road.
“We all have different stories to tell that’s worth sharing. Through these motorcycles, hopefully it can be communicated,” young star Lustre said.
“With the MIO, I love to share stories riding on it on out-of-town trips. I just love the rush of wind on your face. The bike’s also easy to use. It’s so light,” the budding stunner shared.
Camus, meanwhile, also added: “Women are also encouraged to ride with the MIO.”
Earlier in the day the Mio motorcycles were experienced by a group of participants in the Yamaha Safe Riding Science Activity, which was exclusive for women. The program aims to educate through seminars and hands-on tutorials to give the full extent of the riding experience.
A total of 100 female participants joined the activity. They were guided by Yamaha’s certified instructors and conducted it on a special track. The experience allowed them to learn how easy it was to learn to ride, not to mention the fun part of it. All of them got to meet Nadine, personally, during the launch program as the top-10 performers received special recognition.
The said program was not only limited to just the event day itself, since it is an ongoing program, which will be made available all over the country.
It was also announced that the “Ride your Story” campaign is set to go around different campuses to share what the Mio motorcycles are all about. The campus tour will be tackling the daily problems of students—from pressure to traffic conditions and how the MIO motorcycles can help them breakthrough. They will be in Siliman University and La Salle Bacolod first before going to the various parts of the Philippines.
Included in the tour will be Yamaha’s lovable newest icon, Revvy Bear. As the brand’s signature personality, it embodies passion and enjoyment for riding which Yamaha wants to share with everyone across the country. Revvy will be present in the campaign mall tours in SM Malls starting with SM City Pampanga from August 25 to 28.
The lovable bear wouldn’t be Yamaha’s only sole icon, though, as the company is also out on the lookout for the next Mio Ambassadors. Called the “MIO Revsetters”, they will serve as icons of passion and exhilaration.
The search is open to all students who are currently enrolled in college and above 18 years old. They can register at the Yamaha Flagship Shop–YZONE or through the web site www.yamaha-motor.com.ph.
The top-16 participants will be part of Yamaha’s webisodes and the top 4 will become the official 2016 Revsetters.
