Anak TV Inc. is a local group that advocates raising parents’ awareness in choosing the right television programs for their children. Through the Anak TV Seal, they aim to recognize television programs that are child-friendly and child-sensitive.
“Television has a vital influence on people, more so, on young viewers. A program with the Anak TV Seal means that that program is very child-friendly and is consistent in providing right education and in guiding viewers in right values formation,” Go said. She added that the programs submitted for consideration in the awards go through three levels of deliberations.
First, the general public will rate them. Then they will go through an analysis by a group of professionals from the government, non-governmental organizations and other selected sectors. Last, the board of directors of Anak TV will tabulate their ratings.
“We hope that you will continue guiding the televiewers in the right direction, providing them, especially the children, with right values formation; and also, guide the parents in fulfilling their moral responsibility and obligation to give the best future for their children. Your network can do something to help,” Go said.
INCTV’s station manager Rommel San Victores explained that through the reminders of Christian Era Broadcasting Service Inc. president and CEO Bro. Angelo Eraño V. Manalo, they make sure that all the INC TV programs do not only impart teachings consistent with the Bible, but also impart Christian values that must be learned by everyone, particularly the young viewers.
“We will keep on upholding responsible TV and media literacy and guide every household in wise and responsible TV viewing,” San Victores said.
