    Parlaying PBB celebrity

ZEKE DIMAGULA may be mistaken for a Fil-Am but he is actually pure Filipino who had been living in Australia until last February, when he decided to come home. He auditioned for ABS-CBN’s Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2 and, fortunately, he made it to the reality search. However short-lived his stay was in Kuya’s House, it was nonetheless a most memorable experience since he felt he was not far away from home.

He is proud to be a certified PBB housemate. Because of the reality show, he was given a chance to be seen on TV and known by the general public. This unico hijo enjoys doing comedy but is also interested in doing a teleserye. Zeke also had the chance to work with Anne Curtis and Aga Muhlach in the upcoming Star Cinema movie Waiting for Love, where he plays a friend of Anne. He hopes to do hosting jobs in the near future.

RAISED in Australia but 100 percent Pinoy, Zeke Dimagula would like to parlay his stay in Kuya’s House to bigger and better things.

You recently turned 22. How did you celebrate your birthday?

My friends made dinner and just hung out. It was pretty cool and laidback, which is the kind of thing I like.

    What did you wish for?

    Nothing. I don’t know. I don’t even remember! (Laughs)

You’re celebrating Christmas here. Is this your first time here?

No, it’s not. This will be my second actually, but the first without my parents.

    Do you miss your folks?

Yes, I do but I always get in touch with them. They are very supportive of me and I love them for that. My mom went home recently. Also, I stay here with my relatives so it’s also like I’m with my parents.

What do you miss most about Australia?

Besides my parents, probably the weather. It’s very hot here. But that’s just about it. It’s very boring there actually!

What made you decide to pursue a career here?

It’s not so much the career but the people here. I like being here because people here are much happier than in Australia.

More or less you know what’s happening inside the Big Brother house since you’ve been a housemate. What do you think of the Celebrity Edition now?

I don’t get to watch it that much but they’re a very interesting bunch. I would like Yayo (Aguila) to win. I think she will win.

What do you wish you’d done inside the Big Brother house?

Nothing much but I wished that they could have shown that we are multidimensional people. Because of the show, some people had the tendency to box us housemates into certain characters. But all in all, I had fun there.

You’re now working with Aga Muhlach and Anne Curtis in an upcoming movie. How is it working with them?

Pretty fun. It’s very enjoyable and laidback. They’re very nice and admirable in how they work.

You wish to star in a teleserye. What kind would you want to star in?

Something action-filled and I should be the good guy!

You also want to host. What kind of show?

I want a music show. Or something niche, like a special-interest show or a travel show where I get to eat all kinds of exotic food! (Chuckles)

You’ve never had a long-term girlfriend. Why so?

    It costs too much! (Laughs)
