    Eternal Gardens holds general
    agency managers’ convention

VETERAN general agency managers (GAMs) of memorial industry leader Eternal Gardens Memorial Park held a seminar-workshop on sales excellence during their GAMs’ Convention 2007 at Citystate Tower Hotel in Manila in December 7.

Coming straight from their respective branches in Batangas City, Lipa, Dagupan, Cabanatuan and Naga the day before the convention proper, the agency managers had a socialization night,  together with some company officers.

The highlight of the convention proper the next day was a seminar entitled “Challenge 101: Staying on Top of Your Game,” with Prof. Clementine Poblete as speaker.

An experienced trainor and instructor on personal and corporate imaging, Poblete has been a facilitator in several workshop-seminars for the ALC Group of Companies, to which Eternal Gardens belongs.

Aside from giving lectures at private companies and some government agencies, she is also a trainor and instructor at John Robert Powers International, teaching several courses on personality development.

In the first part of the seminar, Poblete talked on how to sustain personal and professional excellence. She emphasized the importance of having a balanced personality that is holistic and functional in order to maintain one’s success in the pursuit of excellence.

Delegates later said Poblete’s definition of the elements of excellence gave them valuable insights on how to improve their performance at work to the highest degree possible.

She enumerated these ingredients of excellence as commitment, belief in one’s potential, full focus and the setting of clear goals, positive images, mental readiness, controlling distractions and constructive evaluation of one’s performance.

Some more lecture, plus a fun game, made up the second part of the seminar.

Together with the company president Benjamin V. Ramos, the delegates sealed their commitment by vowing to meet their respective quotas and cooperate to reach the vision of the company for 2008.
