Hyundai Tucson
SLEEKNESS AND AFFORDABILITY

HYUNDAI’S formal entry into the sports utility vehicle (SUV) market certainly came on a resounding high note with its introduction of the sleek and stylishly looking Tucson. Here in the Philippines, if all available modern SUVs are allowed to drive side by side along a wide and hypothetical highway, Tucson would easily make it to the Top Three in terms of athletic appearance—a characteristic that defines all SUVs.

In terms of performance, Hyundai Tucson would certainly make it among the lead pack as well. Aside from being a multi-awarded SUV, Tucson has the J.D. Power & Associates—2006 initial quality study to bank on where it emerged as the Highest Ranked Compact Multi-Activity Vehicle.

Tucson also comes with either the undeniably impressive 2.0-liter CRDi engine or the proven fuel-efficient 16-valve 2.0-liter CWT (Continuous Variable Valve Timing) engine, giving it the most remarkable fuel efficiency factor among all other SUVs in the market today.

By fitting Tucson with CRDi, Hyundai affirms the winning formula of diesel “engine-uity” that it has successfully introduced in the passenger car segment. Likewise, the 2.0-liter CWT engine ushers yet another breakthrough among today’s vehicles featuring fuel injection systems.

Tucson also comes in four-speed automatic with H-matic transmission model for both its diesel and gasoline variants, known also as the Sports Mode. Its CWT variant however comes with a five-speed manual transmission model. The vehicle also comes in both 4WD and 2WD, giving its buyers the option for their preferred driving maneuverability.

Tucson also delivers a host of other utilities, making it a truly versatile and almost an indispensable companion to its owner. The Tucson possesses distinctive 60:40 folding rear seats that allow for flexible luggage space that is something really unique for an SUV.  It also has a roomy and cozy interior that is peppered with add-on features that enhance the convenience not only of the driver but also its passengers.

Some of these interior features include a 2-din AM/FM/CD/MP3 player with six speakers, a center console with two-tier trays, a front passenger seat under tray, a rear seat armrest with dual cup holders, side pockets, a luggage box, among other salient features that makes riding aboard Tucson a truly convenient and relaxing experience.

Another feature that is guaranteed to make Tucson a byword in the local SUV market is its affordability. For the kind of engine, equipment, style, appearance, and image that it possesses, Hyundai Tucson is definitely an extreme cut above the rest for the value it provides to buyers in its segment of the motoring market.

With Tucson’s impressive and stylish looks that go with its extreme affordability, Hyundai has certainly placed a good lock on the SUV market.
