    Dell, AMTI open first ‘microlab’

DELL Philippines and Accent Micro Technologies Inc. (AMTI) have partnered in opening the Accent Micro Technology Solution Center, a first in the country.

The solution center, which both companies called a “microlab,” and located at the AMTI office in the Ortigas business district, will showcase the latest in Dell products and solutions. The center also offers customers the perfect platform to view first and evaluate proposed solutions before they are implemented in a production environment.

Dell Philippines said the center represents the computer maker’s commitment to enhance customer support capabilities and provide cutting-edge solutions to enterprises.

“The opening of the enterprise application solution center is a big milestone for Dell Philippines, AMTI, and their shared customers,” Barry Bunyi, Dell country manager, said in a statement.

Bunyi said the center “will demonstrate our team’s commitment to helping customers streamline operation, optimize solutions, and manage IT resources efficiently.”

For the past 10 years, Dell Philippines has been working closely with AMTI in coming up with solutions that businesses of all sizes commonly use or need. Through the center, Bunyi said customers will now be able to conduct solution demos and put to use a testing environment.

He added that the center also makes available real-world situations for performance evaluations and proofs of concept in order to help simplify customers’ decision-making process and therefore reduce investment risks.

The Accent Micro Technology Center features two Dell PowerEdge 2950 servers that would help augment Dell Philippines’ solution-delivery capability. These next-generation servers are specifically designed to reduce complexity while increasing Dell’s industry-leading software commonality—perfect for network infrastructure applications.

Aside from the servers, the center also has the Dell/EMC CX3-20f storage solution for a highly scalable, flexible, and high-capacity storage capability, plus an extra layer of data protection for those who want to further reduce the risk of losing data on multiple drive faults.

“Dell Philippines is all about tailoring IT solutions ranging from desktop products to data centers with hardware, software, and professional services that best fit the customer’s environment. We hope that this center offers our customers the opportunity to learn more about Dell’s enterprise solutions and achieve full satisfaction on their application demands,” Bunyi added.
