HYUNDAI
Asia Resources Inc. (Hari), Hyundai’s official
distributor in the Philippines, conquered another
milestone to reinforce its positioning as a globally
competitive player in the automotive industry. Owing to
a remarkable sales output and overall distributorship
performance, Hari was accorded an award of excellence as
the 2006 Distributor of the Year in the Asia & Pacific
Region by Hyundai Motor Co. (HMC) during the 2007
Hyundai Motor Global Distributors Convention awarding
ceremonies held recently in
Hawaii,
USA.
From
among 198 Hyundai distributors around the world, Hari
was heralded as Hyundai’s best league of distributors,
composed of seven regional winners, representing all
seven continents. The winners were hand-picked by HMC
based on rigid selection criteria involving various
distributorship operations in the area of sales,
service, parts and dealership-enhancement programs.
“We, at
Hari, are very much honored that Hyundai Motor Co.
recognizes us as a strong partner in building the
Hyundai brand at a globally competitive stance. Our
second win as Distributor of the Year is a testament of
the Filipinos’ rising level of confidence in the Hyundai
brand and Hari’s strong hold on a sizable market share
in the Philippine automotive industry,” said Fe Perez-Agudo,
Hari EVP and chief operating officer.
Currently the country’s Top 5 automotive brand, Hari’s
second win of the coveted Distributor of the Year award
is the reaffirmation of Hari’s continuing upward
momentum, hallmarked by as much as 46-percent growth in
sales, based on January-to-October 2007 Campi
year-to-date report, compared with the same period last
year, cornering a 7-percent market share. The improved
level of the Filipino consumer’s confidence in the
Hyundai brand is also precipitated by a 90-percent
loyalty rating for genuine Hyundai parts and
accessories, and by world-class operations that have
earned for Hari dealerships the prestigious Elite Award
in 2006.
With
Hari’s resolute commitment to excellence and the utmost
in quality and customer-centric marketing ethic, the
resulting pay-off has become not only rewarding but
motivating as well.
“They
say that you’re only as good as your last performance.
The recent accolades that have been added to our stellar
roster of achievements serve as a reminder for Hari to
remain steadfast with our quest to drive our way to the
customer’s heart and mind,” concludes Agudo, beaming
with pride as she maps out next year’s strategies for
another shot at victory. |

HAPPILY,
if not stunningly enough, the Lucky Nine this particular
evening in Tokyo was led by Ariel de Jesus, the Subaru
sparkplug from Motor Image. The reason might be that, aside
from being a born leader, Ariel responded to the
cold-blooded challenge hurled at him by Vince Socco. |
