CENTURY
City Development Corp., an affiliate of Century
Properties Inc., the largest privately owned property
company in the Philippines, marked another milestone in
real-estate history following the formal groundbreaking
of its premier project: The Gramercy Residences.
Located
at the former International School Manila (ISM), The
Gramercy Residences project property was purchased in
2006 by a consortium composed of Century Properties Inc.
and Picar Holdings. Century Properties Inc., through its
affiliate Century City Development Corp. (CCDC), will be
developing its share of the ISM property into
Century City, a
sprawling mixed-use development that will contain
residential, retail and office components.
True to
its commitment to continue the world-class heritage of
ISM, multiawarded Century Properties envisions to build
an architectural masterpiece in The Gramercy Residences,
the first building to rise in Century City. Its
conceptual designer is the world-renowned Jerde
Partnership with Filipino architectural firm Roger
Villarosa Architects and Associates. Excavation for The
Gramercy will start before year-end, according to CCDC
project director Raul Alvarez.
Named
after a private residential park in New York, the
P6-billion Gramercy will have approximately 1,200
residential units that come in flat and loft
configurations—from a 28-sq-m studio to a 160-sq-m
three-bedroom loft. There are six interior-design themes
to choose from.
Fully
fitted, fully furnished and fully serviced units, a
concept pioneered by the company, are among the biggest
selling points of the project. It will also feature a
six-level lifestyle and entertainment center.
The
Gramercy’s so-called hyper-amenities include the
6,000-sq-m, three-floor SkyPark, an amenity deck with
three pools, three gyms, a day-care center, spa, DVD
library and THX theater, café, book club, lounge,
conference room and yoga, among others. Clarification: Century City is a 3.4 hectare development within the former International School of Manila (“Property”) consisting of 4.8 hectares. Picar Holdings Inc. owns 1.3 hectares of the property and has the exclusive right to build a hotel. For more information, please click on http://www.centurycity.com.ph/update.pdf. |
